Steve Slavik holds an MA degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago and an MA in Hispanics from the University of Victoria. Currently, he has a private practice in individual and marital counseling in Victoria, BC, specializing in Retirement Counseling. He also supervises counselors in training at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Vancouver. He has over 70 professional publications and is the co-editor of and contributor to three books, Techniques in Adlerian Psychology, Readings in the Theory of Individual Psychology, and Strategy in Adlerian Psychotherapy with Difficult Clients. He is also the current editor of The Canadian Journal of Adlerian Psychology, now in its thirteenth year. Steve lives in Victoria, British Columbia with his beautiful black, green-eyed cat; he enjoys biking, browsing rare bookstores, visiting his daughter, and watching his tadpoles turn into frogs.
